The Bethel League is an independent women's basketball league in the Baltimore area. The Bethel League Gameday Intern position is geared toward high school and college students interested in exploring a career in sports-related and/or business industries. This position will have the opportunity to work in various gameday departments, including event preparation, promotions, retail, game scorekeeping/statistics, and marketing activity.
This is an unpaid internship, but interns can earn a stipend at the end of the league. Gameday interns will be expected to work every league gameday in the 2022 season. Ideal candidates will be available to begin their internship in early June and work through the end of the season in early August. Preferred Internship
Qualifications:
• A desire to learn about a basketball team’s gameday operations
• A desire to excel in the team sports industry and a commitment to career development • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Available to work non-traditional work hours, Saturdays 3:00-9:00 pm
• Ability to be prompt and dependable
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
• Must feel comfortable in front of large crowds
• Must display attention to detail
• Must value the safety of fans, officials, and players
• Must be able to follow directions, as well as work independently
• Ability to easily stand for extended periods of time and move up and downstairs
Working Conditions:
• This job operates in an environment located at an indoor gymnasium.
• This job may require extended periods of standing.
• This job occasionally requires light lifting.
